More than 200 Years of History in the Fir Trees
Los Abetos Hotel dates back to 1890, when John Douglas bought a piece of land in Boquete to fulfill his beloved mother’s wish to spend the end of her days in a place where she would never forget her smiles. In 1843 construction was completed and the hotel was named in memory of John’s mother.
Today, the hotel was recently renovated and this time also to fulfill the dream of Ruben Taboada and his family, who wanted to relive the beautiful moments they enjoyed during their childhood when they visited Boquete. Today in this charming little town in Chiriqui they ensure that guests live the best of experiences.

The hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation if valid credit card information is not available.
To avoid difficulties, please keep a copy of your reservation to present upon arrival at the hotel.
In the case of non-refundable reservations, the total amount of the reservation will be automatically debited at the time of confirming the reservation. No changes or cancellations are allowed.

Check-in time to enter the room will be from 3:00 p.m. onwards, and check-out time must be no later than 12:00 p.m., otherwise an additional night’s stay will be charged. We recommend that upon arrival you check the inventory of the room because at the time of pick up it will be reviewed and in case of shortages or damages must be covered by the guest for another equal product or otherwise will be charged at its price.
The services (water, electricity, gas, etc.) provided by the Hotel must be used in accordance with the rules of good faith, without the waste or disproportionate use of them being understood as included in the price, help us to keep the rates low and accessible as well as to take care of the environment.
Guests are requested to use the furniture in the room moderately and rationally, taking care of them properly; likewise, when leaving the room, all guests are required to leave the windows, entrance doors, water faucets and lights off.
